A $40m fund that focuses on the best assets to hold in your portfolio
- by admin
A $30m fund is launching in the US to offer an innovative alternative to traditional asset managers.
In the coming months, The Gilham Group will launch a $40 million fund to manage your best asset class and is currently looking to recruit a team of advisors to help manage this asset class.
The Gilham Global Asset Management fund is focused on two main areas of investment: capital and debt.
It aims to help you manage your capital and also provide access to a diversified range of capital-linked mutual funds that are both low cost and have a diversification target.
Its also aimed at helping you access your debt, a large part of which is held in the form of debt securities, with a low-cost option to help mitigate exposure to debt defaults.
The Gilley Group is currently recruiting advisors to manage the $40 m fund, and its looking to get them up to speed with the strategy.
“We are looking for highly skilled asset managers who have at least two years of experience in the asset class they are managing,” a spokesperson for the company told us.
They will need to be well-versed in the strategies, performance, strategies and management models for the asset classes, which is why they are keen to recruit experienced asset managers with experience managing high-yield assets.
“They will have to demonstrate that they can effectively manage their portfolios in a competitive market,” they added.
So how does it work?
It is not unlike other asset managers, but this one is focused in the debt side of things.
You will start out with a portfolio of a set of 100 high-quality bonds with a fixed rate and fixed maturity.
You will then have access to two other asset classes: high-growth and low-growth.
This is the only asset class where you will have a choice of three levels of maturity: 100-year, 50-year and 10-year.
After that, you will be offered a range of high-risk, low-yielding options to manage a range.
As you would expect, the funds will offer access to several different mutual funds, so you can easily diversify.
How much will it cost?
The fees for this fund will be based on the asset category you choose.
The Gilley Global Asset Manager fee will be $45.
A fund fee of $35.00 per annum will apply.
When is it due?
This fund will open on November 20, 2018.
