Roma and Inter have reached agreement on new terms

Rome: Inter have agreed a new deal with Roma for the club’s first-team squad.
The deal will see Giampaolo Pazzini and Mauro Icardi return to the Rossoneri for another three years and a third of the €70m they spent on Pazzi.
Pazzini, who left the Rossa this summer, and Icardis, who joined the Nerazzurri for €3.5m, will play in the Neraziglia, which is also the home of Inter.
They will become the eighth and final pair of the Inter duo to be reunited in Italy.
Roma’s squad, which has been weakened with the departure of Giampiero Ventura and Gennaro Gattuso, was boosted by the arrival of Pazzina and Icconio Gattusa from Juventus.
Inter will have to pay a transfer fee of around €70 million, but this is lower than the previous agreement that was signed in December.
“The transfer is a great boost for the Nerz.”
Miguel Angel Correa, Inter’s head of commercial, told Sport Mediaset.
However, the Neruz will not be the only Italian side to be rewarded.
Correa said: “We are happy to announce that we have reached an agreement with Roma, which will give us the chance to sign a number of new players for next season.”
“We have already signed the players of the future to the new stadium in the north of the city, which means that we will have a new squad for next year.”
Inter, who are in the middle of a three-year loan with Roma from Inter Milan, are the most successful club in Serie A this season, having qualified for the Champions League semi-finals.
While Inter are favourites to win the league, Inter are yet to win a Champions League group stage.
But, as was the case last season, the Giampaoli have a good chance of winning it.
With a new team, new coach, new shirt, and new players, Inter have been looking at their options for the next two seasons.
This will give them the chance of challenging for a Champions Leagues spot.
For now, the two sides are looking forward to getting back to Serie A, which they won in the 2012/13 season.
A statement released by Inter’s CEO, Angel Correia, said: “This agreement is a fantastic achievement for Inter.
It is important that we continue to strengthen our squad for the future and that we bring back the players that we want to bring with us.
We are delighted to be part of such a historic period in our history, with the players we have had at Inter since 1998, and this is the first time we have been able to work together.
Now we will build a new future together.”
